“CHURCH IN THE PARK” is a favorite day on the Southwest church calendar! This Pre-Labor-Day activity allows all the church family to come together in a casual setting to praise God and enjoy rich fellowship. There will be music and a brief sermon under the pavilion. (On this day, there will be no services at our 3199 S Wadsworth location.)
Every year, new friendships are formed, old stories are shared, and delicious food is consumed! We will gather at Pavilions A & B (a change from recent years.) These pavilions offer more shade and are on the east end of the park, near Columbine High School. Enter from Pierce Street. Watch for balloons, Southwest signage and some friendly faces!
Following the outdoor worship and message, we will enjoy a potluck picnic. What to bring? We invite you to bring your specialty entre, side or dessert, but please remember that glass containers are not allowed in the park. We will have paper goods, utensils and bottled water on hand. There is plenty of seating at picnic tables, but you are welcome to bring lawn chairs for greater comfort.
