What We Believe

Southwest Assembly of God is affiliated with the Assemblies of God and embraces the Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe in one true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and will one day return again.

We believe that salvation is available to all people through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through His grace, we are forgiven, made new, and invited into a personal relationship with God.

We believe in water baptism by immersion and the celebration of Holy Communion as ordinances established by Christ.

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the operation of spiritual gifts, and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer.

We believe that the Church is called to worship God, make disciples, share the Gospel, and demonstrate God’s love and compassion to the world.

We believe in divine healing, the blessed hope of Christ’s return, the final judgment, and the promise of a new heaven and a new earth.
